Our founder, Captain Jenn McDonald, has spent over a decade as a USCG licensed Captain, American Sailing Instructor, and avid sailboat racer, both around the buoys and offshore. After years of watching certification students struggle to find sailing opportunities post graduation, seeing boat owners sell their beloved vessels due to lack of use, and fielding inquiries about who to hire for various boat projects and maintenance needs, she knew there must be a more sustainable way to fill the needs of her community. Turns out, there wasn’t. So she quit her day job, pulled up her bibs, and got to work. The concept: develop an information hub for sailors of every experience level to provide a more comprehensive guide to sailing opportunities, community involvement, continuing education, and to provide better visibility for marine industry contractors and businesses.

And that is how Sail More Now was born.
